All Terrain Adventures aims to give you the best experience possible, ensuring that safety is maintained at all times and you will always be in the capable hands of a highly qualified and experienced instructor. Whether you are a complete novice or you want to check your skills before attempting an outdoor qualification, we have the ability and knowledge to help you achieve your goals.

Based in the Lake District, we use the whole of the UK for activities, certain parts of Europe, e.g. East Spain, Norway, Sardinia and Italy and even the rest of the world!

Offering tailor made packages; the price varies depending on group numbers, activity and venue. All technical equipment is provided and the instructors are all fully insured. Accommodation can be arranged too, from camping to the best hotels your chosen area has to offer.

We cater for the individual, groups, small or large, families and friends, stag and hen parties and corporate groups.

Whatever your requirements are for the outdoors, we can arrange it, all you need to do is call or email and we can put together a specific package for you.

All Terrain Adventures is run by Joe Gittins and a small team of highly qualified instructors.  All the staff are passionate about the outdoors and their aims are to give you the best day possible, maintaining safety at all times - and leaving you wanting more!

Joe has been working in the outdoor sector for 15 years, after finishing a degree in Medical Science.  He has worked all over the world, leading trips to the North Col of Everest, Kilimanjaro, Aconcagua, the Khumbu, all over South America and many other places too!  He has worked with a very diverse client base and this certainly helps, when understanding client’s needs, to develop the right product.  Joe holds the Mountain Instructors Award (MIA), the Cave Instructors Award (CIC) and is a Mountain Bike Expedition Leader.  He is also a member of both the Association of Mountaineering Instructors (AMI) and the Association of Cave Instructors (ACI).  Joe loves climbing, caving, mountain biking and skiing and he is always planning his next trip away!

Neil is energetic, friendly, an accomplished mountaineer and is a qualified MIC.  He is also a BASI Ski Instructor, Level 3 Coach, Canoe and Kayak, Local Cave Leader and a Windsurf Instructor.  Neil has climbed extensively around the world, climbing anything from classic Scottish routes to Alpine North faces.  He works hard so he can pursue his passion for outdoor adventure.

Chris has been involved in the outdoors professionally for the last ten years. He is a full member of The British Association of International Mountain Leaders (BAIML). He is also a Winter and Summer Mountain leader, (SMBLA) Mountain Bike Tutor, a climbing instructor (SPA) and a Canoe coach (BCU). He has climbed and mountain biked in the mountains of many countries including Borneo, Belize, Spain, France and Nepal and led expeditions to Everest base camp and Kinabalu. His passion is for mountain biking and can regularly be seen blazing down a trail in the Lake District.
